How can therapy support you? There is no one else just like you. You have a unique set of qualities and skills to bring to the world. So often, we are living with a belief or behaviour learnt in the past that helped us at the time, but as humans we tend to hang on to these for too long. It takes awareness to thank those parts of us and let them go, allowing room for more supportive and useful approaches in our future. Hypnotherapy, self-hypnosis, NLP & EFT tapping are powerful ways to do this inner work in order to improve the quality of your life...because you matter. Everyone matters.
There is no magic wand. If we can understand that small steps lead to great strides, we will give our self the compassion we deserve and be patient for real change at a deep level that will last. Over time these small changes could lead you to a life beyond what you thought possible, this has certainly been my experience.

Life is too short, we owe it to ourselves to shine at our brightest. I recommend a minimum of four sessions but it all depends on what feels right for you and the depth of the issue you want to explore. I also work with clients longer term if they want to go deeper and explore a range of issues and develop their own self-care practice. Self-hypnosis is a also wonderful tool that I can help you develop.

I recommend 6 sessions as this allows us to explore your inner world and gives time for you to intergrade these tools into your daily life. That said, everyone is different and some people have fewer sessions whilst others have more. It's all about what feels right for you...

How does a pathway package work and how will it support you?
I have first hand experience of living with CFS/ME and am committed to using my experience to support people to discover a more energised life. I have developed my own toolkit of techniques that have been invaluable in my journey, from self-hypnosis for fatigue to tapping for sleep. Since being 'hit' with this mysterious illness I have been set on a path of healing and self discovery, not so much recovering my health but finding a new state of being. The reasons that some of us are impacted by such health conditions in different ways to a large extent, relates to our immune systems functioning and our personal life history. It is undoubtedly complex and unique for each individual.
When I was at my most fatigued I was struggling to climb the stairs to reach the toilet, or even breath on some days. My body felt heavy as if weighed down with rocks and my head was so foggy I felt like I had a brain injury that prevented me thinking clearly. It was very scary! I was young and in health crisis, wondering "why me?" Now I understand how I found myself in that position and have done a lot of work to change the course of dis-eased cells and thoughts towards empowered health! You can too...
Through a series of 6 sessions we will work together holistically to take steps in improving your health and allowing you to see a future beyond your current exhaustion. I can support you to address emotional and psychological causes of vulnerability to ill-health, and improve your resilience to stressors in the future. This therapy can be used alongside other appropriate interventions, and I encourage you to take ownership of your own holistic recovery beyond our sessions.
Change is possible, but it doesn't happen over night and requires ongoing time and commitment. My own journey has honestly opened more doors than I could have imagined and my quality of life is beyond what it was before my diagnoses.
LONG COVID| POST VIRAL FATIGUE| CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME CFS/ME
Research is showing that Long Covid is very similar to CFS/ME, presenting as post Viral Fatigue (PVF) that can last for weeks to months. It is seriously underreported the extent to which people are living with life limiting Long Covid, some studies listing as many as 55 associative symptoms. Just like ME/CFS, Long Covid is a condition that is reported to affect more women than men. The Office for National Statistics estimates 1.1 million people in the UK were reporting long Covid symptoms in the four weeks to 6th March 2021. Long Covid refers to people who don't recover from the acute infection and go on to have longer-term symptoms.
For many years the ME community have felt unheard and alone, frustrated by the lack of answers and support from the medical system we have grown up to rely on. This can be seen in so many chronic illnesses that do not fit the acute medical model. Too often the reality of being dismissed at such a difficult time leads to further trauma, which makes feeling well even more difficult...but not impossible!
There is a collective shift occurring where people are reclaiming the innate and ancient human wisdom we all share, the ability to heal ourselves. This self healing can range from intuitive health research where you just know what you need, to unlocking the inner healing of self-compassion. So much is possible as we open our minds.

Our sessions took place via video link over the internet, and I found them easy to engage in and honestly just as good as in-person therapies I've taken part in. Each session involved hypnotherapy techniques which I found extremely relaxing and helpful to deal with stress and anxiety, which has been contributing to my fatigue symptoms.

Coronavirus has impacted people in a range of ways, from exasperating underlying mental health issues to bringing on new health anxieties. For those having contracted the virus, long term post viral fatigue (PVF) can be a daunting daily reality. The constant messaging that there is a threat out there can feel overwhelming at times, but with support you can regain balance and feel in control again.
Covid health anxieties... The time spent living with an external threat to our health is impacting us in various ways, the extent to which we are yet to uncover. Many people have been living with underlying mental health issues and neurosis that have been brought to the surface by this 'new normal', from depression to anxiety and panic attacks. Others have been thrown into a constant state of alert imagining their own non-existent health issues or those of loved ones, developing new symptoms they've not seen before. There are also the less talked about outcomes, such as asking bigger questions as a result of more time for reflection. You may have some life changes you are ready to make, or things from your past that you want to shine some light on. Though this can feel overwhelming, we can also see a potential opportunity to deal with past issues that have been holding you back and to learn how to manage your health moving forwards.
Many of us are living with adverse childhood experiences (ACE) which if experienced before age 7 will have been stored in the body as trauma. Another way to understand trauma is any unprocessed experience when our nervous system was overwhelmed. The word can feel heavy, but it is very normal and a part of human life. Often in chronic fatigue the body has been under unresolved stress for many years, putting too much pressure on the precious nervous system. This stress could be negative thought patters that make us feel unsafe to anxiety connected to a childhood event that we have pushed down. Emotions can be supressed, but they are like water and are desperate to find a way, flow and clear blocks...enter your symptoms.
Trauma isn’t only the big T trauma that we can easily identify and more easily process. Often people are struggling with more invisible small t traumas that accumulate over time.Just think, many older people we support could be impacted by this.
There is a significant and under-recognised correlation between health conditions in adult life and trauma. Research has shown that those exposed to ACE are at increased risk of heart disease, cancer etc. Many of our clients will have had ACE which could have led to their current health or life circumstances.
Trauma is relevant to how our mind-body reacts to stressors, from viruses to life events. There is growing research showing the correlation between difficulties in the past and chronic illnesses, such as ME/CFS. This is vital knowledge as in order to move forwards we need to address the roots. We can ask ourselves why some people recover from Covid whilst others experience long term symptoms.
Through creating a trance state your unconscious mind becomes more accessible to suggestions and messages. I will use unique and personalised language, stories and metaphors for your mind to absorb and shift.
The answer is most likely YES. A vast majority of the population can be hypnotised. Some people are more resistant and there are different techniques we use to help them relax into trance. The fact that we enter trance states throughout our day shows how natural a state it really is. Humans have been using trance states across the globe for centuries, from ancient Egypt to Shamanic healing. In Hypnosis we are simply utilising this natural part of human nature.
It depends on your story and the issue/s you want to address. I suggest starting with a package of 6 sessions, which also includes recordings and ongoing support. Some people like to have 6 monthly or annual check in sessions after this. I also work with clients longer term using a spiritual coaching approach to explore a range of blocks. Sometimes clients find that 1 issue they came with is connected to a web of other issues they'd like to begin tapping into.
It is because people need less sessions and tend to see shifts quickly. For example you might see a counsellor weekly for months, which will cost more in the long run. Not to dismiss other therapies, they all have their purpose and use at different times in our lives. Hypnosis can be very powerful for sparking quick change.
Yes, absolutely. If anything you will be more in control as in hypnosis your mind is becoming incredibly focused. They say all hypnosis is self hypnosis. When in a therapeutic trance people are still aware of what is going on around them and cannot be made to do anything they do not want to do. Hypnotherapy is very different to hypnosis for entertainment, in the former we are supporting the client to access their inner resources.
Basically it feels really good! Hypnosis leads to a deeply relaxed state that brings our nervous system to a resting place and allows our mind and body to reach a healing state. The more we access this state the easier it is to relax, which is an essential skill in modern life. In addition to this, we can then make you feel even better by helping you explore parts of yourself you struggle to connect with in daily life.
