So often, we are living with a belief or behaviour learnt in the past that helped us at the time, but as humans we tend to hang on to these for too long. It takes awareness to begin to thank those parts of us and let them go, allowing room for more supportive and useful approaches in our future. There is no magic wand and in modern life we want immediate results and fail at patience. If we can understand that small steps lead to great strides, we will give our self the compassion we deserve and be patient for real change at a deep level that will last. This may require looking at self-soothing behaviours that are destructive and replacing them with more uplifting ones. Over time these small changes could lead you to a life beyond what you thought possible, this has certainly been my experience.

Coronavirus has impacted people in a range of ways, from exasperating underlying mental health issues to bringing on new health anxieties. For those having contracted the virus, long term post viral fatigue (PVF) can be a daunting daily reality. The constant messaging that there is a threat out there can feel overwhelming at times, but with support you can regain balance and feel in control again.
COVID RELATED ANXIETIES The time spent living with an external threat to our health is impacting us in various ways, the extent to which we are yet to uncover. Many people have been living with underlying mental health issues and neurosis that have been brought to the surface by this 'new normal', from depression to anxiety and panic attacks. Others have been thrown into a constant state of alert imagining their own non-existent health issues or those of loved ones, developing new symptoms they've not seen before.
There are also the less talked about outcomes, such as asking bigger questions as a result of more time for reflection. You may have some life changes you are ready to make, or things from your past that you want to shine some light on.
Though this can feel overwhelming, we can also see a potential opportunity to deal with past issues that have been holding you back and to learn how to manage your health moving forwards.
POST VIRAL FATIGUE + CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME (CFS)/MEResearch is showing that for some the long term affects of contracting COVID are very similar to CFS/ME and present as post Viral Fatigue (PVF) that can last for weeks to months. Around 10% of mild Covid cases not admitted to hospital are reporting long term symptoms lasting more than 4 weeks.
I have first hand experience of living with CFS/ME and am committed to using my experience to support people to discover a more energised life. The reasons that some of us are impacted by such health conditions in different ways to a large extent, relates to our immune systems functioning and our personal life history. It is undoubtedly complex and unique for each individual.
Through a series of sessions we will work together holistically to take steps in improving your health and allowing you to see a future beyond your current exhaustion. I can support you to address emotional and psychological causes of vulnerability to ill-health, and improve your resilience to stressors in the future. This therapy can be used alongside other appropriate medical interventions, and I encourage you to take ownership of your own holistic recovery beyond our sessions.

What does it mean to be hypnotised?
On starting my Hypnotherapy and NLP Diploma journey in January 2020 I began offering FREE sessions as part of my training. I now have 12 + months experience as a therapist and am continuing to offer sessions over zoom until I complete my qualification soon. All sessions are treated with confidentiality.
It completely depends on you and what you want to work on. We will explore this together and then I will use the appropriate methods to support your unique goal. Through Hypnotherapy trance we can bypass the analytical thinking brain and connect to the powerful unconscious, unlocking real change.

The therapeutic relationship is a special thing and can help us at different stages in our life. Over the years I have worked with a wide range of therapists, from psychoanalysts and counsellors to sound healers and acupressure practitioners. I have found holistic therapies to be a great tool in taking care of my health, mind and body. So often we wait until we are in crisis to seek such support, when it is best to use these tools to prevent illness and live a more balanced life. We know our car needs regular maintenance to perform at it's best, yet we neglect our own body and mind. We all need different therapies at different points in life, which is why it is great to keep an open mind.
Perhaps, the most important message is that all any therapy is doing is unlocking the resources that lie within you waiting to be remembered. Our mind and body holds such wisdom, that often a therapeutic space helps us get out of our own way and reach a healing state of homeostasis as we shut out the modern world. It is my belief that in order to show up for those around us and our life, we need to show up for ourselves and do the work.
