I am Stella and I have created this space to support people to take the time to relax and discover potential for lasting and significant change.
I have always known that I wanted to have a career that helped people, as well as being creative and challenging. I am a qualified Reiki therapist and in January 2020 I began training in Hypnotherapy and NLP coaching, to qualify early 2021. I feel truly grateful to have discovered Energy healing, Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) which continuously amaze me when I see both the changes they allow clients to make and the profound shifts in my own life.
My journey to this point has been a winding road... From a young age I experienced depression, anxiety and as a teenager this got much worse. By the age of 15 I was deeply anxious with an intense inner loathing which led to years of self medicating with drink. At this time my days were full of self harm, suicide ideation, bulimia and heavy drinking. I was in trouble, and though destructive behaviour carried into my 20's it did begin to get better. Developing a chronic illness in my late 20's led me to begin the life long work of healing all these wounds and learning to forgive myself and others. I understand my health today to be a build up of all the wounds I bandaged up, but never truly healed.
When I was diagnosed with M.E/chronic fatigue in 2018 I had to make many life changes in order to regain my health, including how I thought about myself and the world around me. I know full well how difficult it is feeling hopeless with exhaustion or mental health issues and I am passionate about supporting clients. When I was at my worst just climbing the stairs felt like a mountain. During this time I experienced a significant change where rest and healing became vital. The reality is I continue to manage the condition, but with self-knowledge and care I live a more content and full life now than I ever did before.
As we know life inevitably throws difficult things our way and we can all be kind to ourselves and see therapy and relaxation as a way to maintain or regain balance in our life. I refer to all the yummy parts of my life that help me heal and connect as my practice and this has become my daily anchor. Every morning I create space to ignite my curiosity and explore podcasts that light me up and journal too. Years ago I started with a short 20 mins on my mat and now I have an hour session that includes wonderful tools (Qigong, Tai chi, Yoga, tapping, meditation, Reiki, hypnosis...) and it is always growing.
I believe that showing ourselves compassion and feeling content is a life long lesson and at times a bit of a rollercoaster! What might your unique self-care and development look like, feel like? It really is all about what feels right for you and I would love to help you find your path.
